I had fun looking on flikr and I found many beautiful pictures apparently there is a little bit of photographer in everyone! I found a cute little owl picture and I was going to make some type of cheesy joke like, "Whooo is having fun blogging?" But unfortunately I could not get the image to upload so ignore that last sentence. I was however able to at least link to the picture so you should check it out. I would consider making an account but it may be hard for me to keep up with at first.I also really like pintrest which I guess is along the same lines as this. Also this owl image was captured by mamaD. I could see myself looking on flikr for great images to use in my classroom.

I had a hard time finding a web 2.0 thing that I could actually figure out. I tried Piczu but it was kind of weird because you could not move the captions so it ended up covering my face. But I finally stumbled upon a grammar checking tool which seemed relevant enough to me. The website was called http://www.go2web20.net/app/?a=grammarbase. With this website you can type in sentences into it and it will tell you what you did wrong. It would be very useful in a classroom setting because students can check their grammar and spelling online. Most ABC spell-checkers don't always catch all of the grammatical errors so it is nice to double check.

thing 8
I had a lot of fun going through all of the different mashups trying and it is in fact habit forming. These sites made it very easy to edit photos and do a whole bunch of other things. I think this could be used by students in projects or presentation. Although I am always a little wary to share pictures online as long as students know not to share personal information online it shouldn't be a big problem. I used two different apps one was a puzzle one which was really neat but didnt give me a whole lot of options as far as editing it beyond this point. I also found this really cute app where you can make little calenders what better way to make awesome customized classroom calenders! All of the mashups where pretty user friendly which is very nice especially since i am beyond technologically challanged.

Thing #5
Web 2.0, Web 2.0, Web 2.0, Web 2.0. It seems like this concept of an interactive web is literally everywhere; at home, the work place, and even in classrooms. It is hard to escape especially since the internet it is one of the best tools now to find everything. I really enjoyed the movie because it showed how versitile web 2.0 really is. It is facinating that we actually shape the world wide web to fit our own needs. I looked at all of the various tools that teachers could use and they were very helpful. There was this really cute one called www.blabberize.com that lets you make talking pictures. How awesome would that be to put in a powerpoint to spice things up.They even have a blog especially made for childern called www.kidblog.org! I think students and teachers all could benefit from using the web.School 2.0 means that students are always learning from home to school they can encorporate learning everywhere. Think about it nowadays if you want to know something you can look it up online and comeup with millions of answers just waiting to be discovered. Teaching and answering questions is not just for the teacher anymore students today are in control of how they learn. It is our job as teachers and parents alike to guide their learning in the right direction. Web 2.0 means endless posibilities. What will you discover?
Thing 3
There are many ways that I could use a blog in my future teaching environment. This would be a really easy way to have a parent newsletter. I could put up what we did that day and even what the homework assignment of the night is. I could have this as an assignment for my students to make a blog of their own maybe acting as one of the characters in a book that we are discussing. I could also have this be their daily journal so that it would be easier for everyone to access. There are also many other teachers that have blogs that maybe I could reference and interact with to get other teachers perspectives. These blogs are absolutely a key factor in teaching because the upcoming generation is already growing up with technology that it almost comes as second nature.

Thing 2
So this is a little late but I finally got my blog all together. Hip-hip- horaay! This was a little bit nerve-racking for me but I think I finally have somewhat of a grasp on it.
My avatar is super cute even though I had my frustrations with it as well. This may seem like an insignificant problem but I could not get that thing to resemble me no mattter how hard I tried. I finally got it as good as I could and called it a day. This avatar does represent me I think because it is outside which is my favorite place to be. I also gave my mini me some coffee because I am literally always on the go. Between full time school and being a full time assistant manager and caffeine always helps. She is also laid-back but still put together which I try to be most of the time.
